River Festival - Stratford Upon Avon
Set in the beautiful rural Warwickshire countryside, on the banks of the river Avon, Stratford is a market town dating back to medieval times. Stratford is today most famous as the birthplace of the Elizabethan playwright William Shakespeare. Along the banks of the River Avon, the town centre and Recreation ground there will be a full programme of entertainment and events. Live music, stalls and food outlets. Admission is free of charge all.
If you've not visited Hull before, now would be a good chance especially as it has recently been voted the City of Culture 2017. Wander down the cobbled streets of the city's old town and maybe visit the Museum Quarter, home to some of there free museums.
' The Deep' is well worth a visit as it whisks you down to the bottom of the deep blue sea and introduces you to its many new and old inhabitants. It is located within walking distance from the city centre via a pedestrian bridge. Price includes admission.
