Trip Description

Home to the largest collection of living plants with over 40,000 species.  Within the gardens stands Kew Palace, built in 1631, it was the country home of George III.  Only open thought the summer months.

Weekends only, Queen Charlotte’s Cottage, an 18th century thatched cottage, built as a country retreat where the royal family could rest and take tea during walks in the gardens.

Great Pagoda, almost 50m in height. Orginally completed in 1762, restored in 2018. A 10 storey octagonal structure can be viewed from outside. A ticket can be purchased on the day to climb the 210 steps to the top. (NOT included). 

2025 Exhibition: Kew Gardens will be hosting a summer-long celebration of trees in 2025, featuring art installations, interactive experiences, and a new Carbon Garden. The Power of Trees Exhibtion will showcase how trees have shaped human creativity through art and culture. Additionally, the new Carbon Garden, opening in July, will highlight the role of carbon in life and the climate crisis.
